GENERAL TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern the use of Daittons Destination Support by visitors, hosts, applicants, clients, request posters and other users of the platform.

Daittons Destination Support is operated by Daittons (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa.

By accessing or using the platform, applying to become a host, posting a service request, using Daittons Matching, browsing hosts, paying platform fees or otherwise using Daittons Destination Support, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Where separate or more specific terms apply to a particular relationship or service, such as Host Terms of Service, Visitor Terms of Use, fee schedules or policy pages, those terms also apply and should be read together with these Terms.

2. What Daittons is

Daittons Destination Support is a destination-focused support platform that helps connect visitors, students, professionals, families and relocating individuals with trusted local support in the destinations where help is needed.

Through the platform, Daittons may allow users to:

  • browse Verified Destination Hosts by destination
  • post service requests
  • use Daittons Matching
  • access destination support information or related platform features
  • apply to join the platform as a host

Daittons may expand, change, remove or refine its services, categories, platform features, destination coverage or support model from time to time.

3. The Daittons platform model

Daittons provides a platform and support structure rather than operating as the direct provider of every service listed on the platform.

The Daittons model generally includes:

  • visitors browsing hosts by destination
  • visitors posting service requests
  • Daittons offering a paid matching service
  • hosts operating as independent Daittons Partners
  • hosts generally negotiating and charging visitors directly for host services
  • Daittons maintaining pricing guidance and starting-rate fee schedules for host services

This platform model is central to how Daittons operates and should be understood by all users of the platform.

4. Independent host status

Verified Destination Hosts listed on Daittons are generally independent Daittons Partners and not employees of Daittons merely because they are approved, verified, listed or subscribe to a host plan.

Unless Daittons expressly states otherwise for a specific arrangement, hosts are responsible for their own service delivery, pricing discussions, conduct, legal compliance and direct arrangements with visitors.

Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, general agency relationship or authority for a host to bind Daittons merely by being listed on the platform.

5. Visitors, hosts and other users

The platform may be used by different types of users, including:

  • visitors seeking destination support
  • family members or organisations arranging support for someone else
  • people posting service requests
  • applicants seeking to join as hosts
  • approved hosts
  • businesses or institutions engaging with Daittons in connection with destination support

Daittons may apply different terms, requirements, permissions, features or restrictions to different user types.

6. Host verification and approval

Daittons may operate a verification and onboarding process for hosts before approving them for listing on the platform.

Depending on the host role, service type and Daittons’ requirements, this process may include identity verification, criminal record-related checks where applicable, role suitability review, profile checks, reference checks and other onboarding steps.

Verification is intended to support trust and platform quality, but it does not guarantee a host’s conduct, every service outcome or every visitor experience.

7. Host levels and Elite badge

Daittons may offer different host levels, including Standard Hosts and Elite Hosts.

An Elite Host may carry an Elite badge on their profile and may receive different visibility, positioning or pricing guidance within the Daittons platform structure.

Daittons may determine, revise or withdraw Elite status at its discretion in accordance with platform standards, host conduct, commercial positioning and verification requirements.

8. How users may access support through the platform

Visitors may generally use Daittons in three main ways:

Browse hosts

Visitors may browse host profiles by destination and contact hosts directly.

Post a service request

Visitors may post a service request and receive interest from suitable hosts.

Use Daittons Matching

Visitors may request Daittons to help identify and shortlist a suitable host through a paid matching service where available.

Daittons does not guarantee that every visitor will find a host, receive responses or secure a successful booking through the platform.

9. Pricing, fee guidance and payments

Daittons may charge platform-related fees for certain services, including host subscriptions, host verification fees, Daittons Matching fees or other paid platform services.

Hosts generally charge visitors directly for host services provided through the platform.

Daittons may maintain pricing guidance, fee schedules and starting-rate frameworks for services offered by hosts, including different fee guidance for Standard Hosts and Elite Hosts. Hosts are expected to use this fee guidance responsibly, but final host pricing is generally agreed directly between the host and the visitor based on the actual support required.

Users must review the relevant pricing, fee and policy pages for more detail where applicable.

10. Direct host-client arrangements

Unless Daittons expressly states otherwise for a specific arrangement, the actual support service provided by a host is generally arranged directly between the visitor and the host.

This means the visitor and host are generally responsible for confirming:

  • service scope
  • timing and destination
  • pricing and extras
  • payment method
  • cancellation expectations
  • practical support details

Daittons may still play a platform oversight, verification, trust, complaint-handling or matching role, but Daittons does not automatically become the direct provider of the host’s service.

11. Daittons Matching

Daittons may offer a paid matching service to help visitors identify suitable hosts for specific destination support needs.

Daittons Matching may include reviewing the request, assessing possible host fit, shortlisting suitable hosts and helping facilitate introductions or the matching process.

Unless Daittons expressly states otherwise, the Daittons Matching fee is separate from the host’s own service fee.

Daittons does not guarantee that every matching request will result in a successful match, booking or completed service.

12. User obligations

All users of the platform must use Daittons honestly, lawfully and responsibly.

Users must not:

  • provide false or misleading information
  • misuse the platform
  • engage in fraud, abuse, harassment or unlawful conduct
  • infringe the rights, privacy or safety of others
  • misuse Daittons’ brand, verification structure or platform reputation
  • attempt to damage the platform, its trust environment or other users

Users must also comply with any role-specific policies, host rules, visitor terms, fee policies or other standards published by Daittons.

13. Complaints, trust concerns and disputes

Daittons may receive and review complaints relating to hosts, visitors, pricing behaviour, no-shows, trust concerns, platform misuse, misconduct or other issues affecting the platform environment.

Daittons may request information from users, assess complaints, review conduct and take action within the platform where necessary to protect trust, safety, legal compliance or the integrity of the Daittons network.

However, where a direct host-client service arrangement exists, Daittons may not always be the party that can resolve every service dispute or force a particular outcome.

14. Suspension, restriction and removal

Daittons may suspend, restrict, limit, downgrade or terminate any user’s access to the platform where Daittons considers this necessary for legal, safety, trust, commercial or platform integrity reasons.

This may include situations involving:

  • serious complaints
  • dishonesty
  • fraud or criminal concerns
  • repeated misuse of the platform
  • abusive conduct
  • refusal to cooperate with platform investigations
  • conduct inconsistent with Daittons’ standards

Daittons may also remove host badges, reduce visibility, pause accounts or change access to platform features where appropriate.

15. Intellectual property and branding

Daittons and its related branding, platform materials, text, design elements, logos, names, features and content are protected by applicable intellectual property rights.

Users may not copy, misuse, misrepresent, republish or exploit Daittons’ branding, host status language, verification wording, Elite badge or platform materials in a misleading or unauthorised manner.

Hosts and users may only refer to Daittons affiliation, host status or platform role to the extent that it is true and permitted by Daittons.

16. No guarantee of platform availability or uninterrupted service

Daittons does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform, constant platform availability, availability of hosts in every destination or the continued availability of every feature, category or service.

The platform may be updated, changed, paused, improved, restricted or removed in part at any time.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Daittons shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from the use of the platform, failed bookings, user conduct, host services, pricing disputes, cancellations, no-shows, lost opportunities, loss of income, reputational harm or platform interruptions.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. Changes to these Terms and the platform

Daittons may update these Terms of Service and may also change its platform model, host categories, verification approach, matching processes, fee structures, pricing guidance, destination coverage and related policies from time to time.

Updated terms may be published on the platform and may take effect from the date specified by Daittons.

19. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of South Africa, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

20. Contact

If you need to contact Daittons regarding the platform, a complaint, trust concern, host issue, fee issue or these Terms, please use the contact details provided on the Daittons platform.

Final statement

Daittons is building a structured destination support platform where visitors can find trusted local help and approved hosts can access real earning opportunities through destination-based visibility, service requests and matching support. By using the platform, you agree to engage with that model responsibly and in line with Daittons’ rules and standards.
