How to Get Assistance

Find the local support you need.

Daittons connects Visitors with verified local people, known as Daittoners, who can provide practical, personalised assistance in their destination or help complete agreed tasks remotely.

Whether you are travelling, visiting for business, relocating, arranging accommodation or managing something from another location, Daittons helps you find local support suited to your requirements.

Two Ways to Get Started

Option 1: Browse Daittoners. Search available profiles and choose a local person whose services match your needs.

Option 2: Submit an Assistance Request. Describe what you need and allow suitable Daittoners to be considered, subject to availability and service suitability.

1. Browse Daittoners

You do not always need to submit a request and wait for someone to respond. You can browse available Daittoner profiles and look for someone whose location, services and experience match your requirements.

Depending on the information provided, a profile may include:

  • Location and service areas.
  • Services offered.
  • Profile introduction and background.
  • Relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
  • Languages spoken.
  • Availability, where provided.
  • Displayed verification status.
  • Visitor reviews and ratings, where available.

Once you find a suitable Daittoner, discuss your requirements, confirm availability and agree on the service details, price and payment arrangements before proceeding.

Important: Verification helps assess identity and other relevant information, but it does not guarantee a person’s future conduct, service quality or the outcome of an assignment. Check that the services offered match your needs before making an arrangement.

2. Request a Daittoner

If you already know what assistance you need, submit an Assistance Request describing your requirements. Include enough detail to help identify a suitable Daittoner.

Where relevant, include:

  • The type of assistance required.
  • The destination or service location.
  • Your preferred date and time.
  • The expected duration or deadline.
  • Your preferred language.
  • Any special instructions or requirements.
  • Your budget, where applicable.

A suitable Daittoner may be connected with your request depending on location, availability, service suitability and the details provided.

Please note: Submitting a request does not guarantee that a Daittoner will accept it, that a suitable person will be available or that the requested service can be completed.

3. Agree on the Details

Before the service begins, you and the Daittoner should clearly agree on the arrangement.

Confirm:

  • The exact service and tasks to be completed.
  • The date, time and service location.
  • The expected duration or completion deadline.
  • The agreed service price.
  • Payment arrangements and when payment is due.
  • Additional expenses and third-party charges.
  • Any special instructions, limitations or deliverables.
  • Applicable cancellation and refund terms.

Make sure you understand what is included in the service price and which costs, if any, will be charged separately. For purchases, bookings, transport or other third-party expenses, clarify the expected costs and obtain agreement before those expenses are incurred wherever reasonably possible.

4. Pay for the Service

During Daittons’ initial operating phase, Visitors generally pay the Daittoner directly according to the agreed payment arrangement. Payment is normally made in advance or just before the service is delivered, as agreed between the parties.

Before You Pay

  • Confirm the recipient and payment details.
  • Verify the amount and what the payment covers.
  • Agree on any additional expenses.
  • Clarify cancellation, refund and booking conditions.
  • Keep proof of payment, receipts and relevant communications.

Additional expenses, such as purchases, parking, tolls, delivery charges, accommodation costs or other third-party fees, should be discussed and agreed upon before they are incurred wherever reasonably possible.

Use the agreed payment arrangements and retain records of important communications and transactions. For more information, review the Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy.

5. Receive Your Assistance

Once the arrangements are confirmed and the agreed payment requirements have been met, the Daittoner provides the assistance you have arranged.

Depending on your requirements and destination, services may include:

  • Arrival & Daily Transport: Airport pickups, station transfers and local journeys.
  • Local & Tour Guidance: Destination orientation, sightseeing and local recommendations.
  • Personal Assistance: Errands, shopping, appointments and practical everyday tasks.
  • Business Visitor Support: On-ground help with meetings, conferences and local business arrangements.
  • Relocation Support: Moving arrangements, local orientation and settling-in tasks.
  • Accommodation Search & Support: Accommodation enquiries, comparisons, viewings and booking assistance.
  • Language & Interpretation Support: Agreed interpretation and communication assistance.
  • Remote Business Support: Local business enquiries, research and supplier follow-ups.
  • Remote Verifications: Agreed local checks involving people, properties, addresses, businesses, suppliers or products.
  • Remote Sourcing and Shopping: Product, supplier and service-provider sourcing and purchasing assistance.

Availability varies by destination and individual Daittoner. Some services may require particular qualifications, licences, permissions or credentials.

6. Communicate Clearly

Clear communication helps ensure that the service meets your expectations.

Tell the Daittoner about important requirements before the service begins. If your plans or needs change, communicate those changes as soon as possible.

If additional work, time or expenses become necessary, agree on the changes before the additional work is undertaken wherever reasonably possible. Keep a record of revised arrangements, particularly where they affect the agreed price, scope or timing.

7. If Something Goes Wrong

If you experience a problem, try to resolve it directly with the Daittoner where it is appropriate and safe to do so.

If the matter remains unresolved, contact Daittons through the appropriate support channel. An appointed City Daittoner may assist with routine local concerns. More serious or unresolved matters may be escalated through the Country Daittoner to Daittons Headquarters, as appropriate.

Daittons may help facilitate communication and review complaints under its applicable procedures. The outcome depends on the circumstances and information available. Daittons’ involvement does not automatically guarantee a refund, compensation or a particular resolution.

Your Safety Matters

Daittons places importance on verification, accountability and trust. However, verification is not a guarantee of a person’s honesty, character, future behaviour, professional ability in every circumstance or the outcome of a service.

Important Safety Checks

  • Review the Daittoner’s profile and displayed verification information.
  • Confirm the person’s identity and agreed service arrangements.
  • Confirm prices, payment details and additional expenses before paying.
  • Use reasonable judgement when sharing personal or confidential information.
  • Keep relevant communications, payment records and receipts.
  • Report suspicious conduct or safety concerns to Daittons.
