These Daittoner Terms of Service (“Daittoner Terms”) apply to every person who creates or operates a Daittoner profile or provides services to customers through Daittons.

By registering as a Daittoner, you agree to these Terms, the General Terms & Conditions and the Daittoner Code of Conduct.

1. Becoming a Daittoner

A Daittoner is a verified and trusted local person that offers personalised support and assistance to visitors, travellers and remote clients.

To become a Daittoner, you must:

  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Complete the applicable verification process
  • Pay the once-off profile creation and verification fee
  • Meet applicable Daittons requirements
  • Agree to follow the Daittoner Code of Conduct

Daittons may decline an application where its requirements are not met.

2. Daittoner Profile

Daittoners must ensure that their profile information remains accurate.

This includes:

  • Name and identity information
  • Location
  • Services offered
  • Skills and experience
  • Languages
  • Availability
  • Service areas
  • Other information requested by Daittons

False or misleading information may result in suspension or removal of the profile.

3. Verification

Daittoners must complete the applicable Daittons verification process.

Verification may include identity and other checks appropriate to the services offered.

A verified status does not guarantee future conduct or service quality.

Daittoners must notify Daittons if information relevant to their verification changes.

4. Providing Services

Daittoners are responsible for the services they provide to customers.

Before accepting an assignment, the Daittoner should ensure that they:

  • Understand the customer’s requirements
  • Have the necessary skills or resources
  • Can complete the task safely and lawfully
  • Understand the agreed price
  • Understand the expected timeframe

5. Customer Payments

During the initial operating phase, customers may pay Daittoners directly.

The Daittoner is responsible for receiving and recording customer payments appropriately.

6. Daittons Commission

The current Daittons commission is 12% of the agreed customer service amount, subject to the applicable Daittons commission arrangements.

The current internal allocation is:

  • 88% — Daittoner
  • 10% — Daittons
  • 2% — Country Daittoner

The Daittons and Country Daittoner portions are paid from the 12% commission and are not deducted from the Daittoner’s 88% share.

Daittoners are responsible for paying the applicable commission to Daittons in accordance with the agreed payment process.

Daittons may change the payment process in the future, including introducing platform-based payments.

7. Third-Party Expenses

Daittoners must clearly communicate expenses that are not included in the agreed service price.

These may include:

  • Purchases
  • Parking
  • Tolls
  • Delivery
  • Transport
  • Accommodation
  • Entrance fees
  • Other third-party costs

Daittoners should obtain customer approval before incurring additional expenses whenever reasonably possible.

8. Customer Funds

Where a customer provides money for a specific purchase or expense, the Daittoner must use those funds only for the agreed purpose.

Receipts or other reasonable evidence should be provided where applicable.

Unused funds should be returned to the customer where required by the agreed arrangement.

9. Professional Conduct

Daittoners must comply with the Daittoner Code of Conduct.

This includes requirements relating to:

  • Honesty
  • Respect
  • Confidentiality
  • Customer privacy
  • Safety
  • Professional communication
  • Responsible handling of money
  • Lawful conduct

10. Independent Service Provider

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, a Daittoner provides services independently and is responsible for their own business, tax, licensing, insurance and legal obligations.

Nothing in these Terms should be interpreted as creating an employment relationship between Daittons and a Daittoner unless applicable law provides otherwise.

11. Licences and Qualifications

Daittoners are responsible for maintaining any licence, permit, registration, qualification or other legal requirement applicable to the services they provide.

This is particularly important for regulated services such as transport.

12. Transport Services

Daittoners providing transport services must comply with applicable laws and licensing requirements.

Vehicles must be legally compliant and appropriately maintained.

Daittoners must prioritise reasonable passenger and road safety.

13. Verification Services

Daittoners providing person, property, business, supplier or other verification services must conduct activities lawfully and within the agreed scope.

Daittoners must provide factual findings and must not fabricate evidence or unlawfully obtain personal information.

14. Confidentiality

Daittoners must keep customer information confidential and must not use customer information for purposes unrelated to the agreed service.

15. No Unauthorised Representation

A Daittoner may represent a customer only to the extent authorised.

A Daittoner must not enter contracts, make financial commitments or make binding representations on behalf of a customer without appropriate authority.

16. Customer Relationships

Daittoners must maintain professional relationships with customers.

Daittoners must not use customer information obtained through Daittons for inappropriate personal purposes.

17. Cancellation

If a Daittoner cannot complete an agreed service, they should notify the customer as soon as reasonably possible.

Repeated cancellations, failure to attend or failure to communicate may result in platform action.

18. Complaints and Disputes

Customers may report concerns about a Daittoner’s conduct or service.

Daittons may investigate complaints and may request relevant information from the Daittoner.

19. Suspension or Removal

Daittons may suspend or remove a Daittoner profile where there is:

  • A breach of these Terms
  • False verification information
  • Fraudulent conduct
  • Serious misconduct
  • Safety concerns
  • Repeated customer complaints
  • Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct
  • Unlawful activity

20. Taxes and Legal Obligations

Daittoners are responsible for their own tax and other legal obligations arising from their activities.

21. Changes to These Terms

Daittons may update these Terms as the platform develops.

Where appropriate, material changes will be communicated through the platform.

22. Acceptance

By registering or continuing to operate as a Daittoner, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and the Daittoner Code of Conduct.
