Do you have strong local knowledge, good communication skills, and a passion for helping people? Daittons Destination Support invites suitable applicants to apply to become City Daittoners and help develop a trusted network of local service providers in their cities.
A City Daittoner is a verified and approved local representative who helps grow Daittons’ presence in an appointed city, supports local Daittoners, assists with onboarding and coordination, and contributes to maintaining service standards.
A City Daittoner is expected to be an active Daittoner who personally offers suitable services through the platform, in addition to fulfilling local representative responsibilities.
This means the role combines two responsibilities: providing services to Visitors or remote clients, and helping develop and support the Daittons network within the appointed city.
City Daittoners help establish and develop Daittons in their appointed cities. They serve as a local point of coordination between Daittons headquarters and the Daittoners operating in their area.
The role is suitable for people who understand their local area, can build professional relationships, and are willing to take an active role in developing a reliable local support network.
City Daittoners must create and maintain their own Daittoner profiles, complete the applicable onboarding and verification requirements, and offer services that match their skills, experience, availability, and local capabilities.
Depending on their capabilities, services may include:
Applicants should only offer services they can competently and lawfully perform. Certain services may require additional licences, qualifications, insurance, or other approvals.
In addition to providing services, City Daittoners are responsible for helping Daittons establish and maintain a reliable local network. Duties may include:
City Daittoners must operate within the authority granted by Daittons. They may not make unauthorised commitments on behalf of the company, change platform policies, or promise appointments to applicants without approval.
We welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate the qualities needed to represent and develop Daittons in their city.
Suitable applicants should have:
Previous experience in customer service, tourism, hospitality, transport, business development, administration, recruitment, or local service coordination may be beneficial, but applicants will be assessed on their overall suitability.
Daittons is committed to building a trusted network of local service providers and representatives. All applicants are subject to a review and verification process before final approval. The specific checks required may depend on the applicant’s proposed services and responsibilities.
Because the role includes recruitment, onboarding support, local coordination, service standards, and commission reporting, applicants may be assessed on their city knowledge, communication skills, organisational abilities, integrity, and readiness to take on these responsibilities.
City Daittoners and Country Daittoners do not pay the standard Daittoner verification fee for their representative appointments. This exemption does not remove the requirement to complete the applicable identity, suitability, profile, and role-specific verification checks. Any additional requirements will be communicated by Daittons.
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. Daittons may request further information, conduct additional checks, or decline an application where its requirements are not met.
City Daittoners may earn income in two distinct ways: by personally providing Daittons services and by receiving an authorised city representative commission on eligible transactions.
Under the current service commission structure, the Daittoner who provides a service receives 80% of the applicable service fee, while Daittons retains a 20% platform commission.
For example, on a service fee of R1,000:
Billable expenses, such as approved transport-related or third-party costs, must be charged separately from the service fee where applicable. The 80/20 split applies to the service fee, not automatically to separately charged expenses.
In addition to earnings from services personally provided, a City Daittoner may receive 25% of Daittons’ 20% commission on eligible transactions generated within their appointed city, subject to the applicable terms and reporting procedures.
For example, on an eligible service fee of R1,000:
If the City Daittoner personally provides an eligible service, they may receive both their service-provider earnings and the applicable city representative commission, subject to the transaction rules and approved terms.
Representative commission is not a guaranteed salary. It depends on eligible transactions, the applicable commission rules, and compliance with Daittons’ procedures. The commission structure may be updated by Daittons through formal notice or revised terms.
City Daittoners must follow Daittons’ approved commission and reporting procedures. Under the current biweekly reporting process, the expected schedule is:
This schedule is subject to Daittons’ current approved procedure, DAI-FIN-001 — Commission and Biweekly Reporting Procedure, and any subsequent instructions. If no Country Daittoner is appointed or the normal reporting route is unavailable, the City Daittoner must follow instructions from Daittons headquarters.
City Daittoners must maintain accurate records and may not retain, deduct, or redirect commission funds unless expressly authorised by Daittons.
City Daittoner appointments are for a period of one year. Renewal is subject to an annual review, satisfactory performance, continued suitability, compliance with Daittons’ procedures, and approval by Daittons. Renewal is not automatic.
Appointments may be reviewed where performance, conduct, reporting, service quality, or other role requirements are not being met. Serious misconduct or other grounds specified in the applicable appointment terms may result in immediate termination. Applicable notice requirements and procedures will be set out in the representative agreement.
