TRUST & VERIFICATION
Building confidence in destination support
Daittons Destination Support is built around trusted local support and verified host profiles.
Because Daittons helps connect visitors, students, professionals, families and relocating individuals with local support in cities they may not know well, trust, suitability and clear onboarding matter.
The purpose of Daittons’ trust and verification process is to help create a more reliable platform environment for both visitors and hosts.
What a Verified Destination Host means
A Verified Destination Host is a host approved by Daittons to offer destination support services through the platform in a specific destination and in approved service categories.
Verification is intended to support trust on the platform by helping Daittons review who the host is, what services they are suitable to offer and whether they meet Daittons’ onboarding requirements for the role.
What Daittons may verify
Depending on the role, service type and destination support category, Daittons’ verification and onboarding process may include one or more of the following:
- identity verification
- criminal record-related checks where applicable
- role suitability review
- contact and profile checks
- supporting information relevant to the services the host wants to offer
- other onboarding checks relevant to the host’s role
Not every host category requires exactly the same type or level of review, and Daittons may apply different onboarding requirements depending on the service involved.
Why verification matters for visitors
Visitors often need support in destinations where they do not know the city, the local environment or the people offering help.
Daittons’ trust and verification process is designed to help visitors feel more confident when using the platform by creating a structured onboarding process for hosts before they are approved to offer services through Daittons.
Verification helps Daittons review the host’s identity, suitability and service positioning before the host is listed as a Verified Destination Host.
Why verification matters for hosts
Verification is also important for hosts because it helps create a more credible and trusted platform environment.
Hosts who complete Daittons’ onboarding and verification process may benefit from stronger credibility on the platform, clearer host positioning and greater visitor confidence when offering destination support services.
Standard Hosts and Elite Hosts
Daittons may feature hosts at different levels on the platform.
Standard Host
A verified host approved to offer destination support services through Daittons.
Elite Host
A higher-tier verified host with stronger positioning on the platform and an Elite badge displayed on their profile.
Elite Host status may involve stronger profile positioning and may be subject to additional Daittons review, standards or suitability considerations depending on the role.
Verification supports trust, but it is not a guarantee
Daittons’ verification process is designed to support trust on the platform, but verification is not a guarantee of every outcome, every service experience or every future action by a host or visitor.
Visitors should still review host profiles carefully, confirm the service needed, clarify pricing and communicate clearly before proceeding with a host.
Hosts should ensure that the information they provide to Daittons is accurate, up to date and truthful, and that they only offer services they are genuinely able, suitable and approved to provide.
Daittons’ role
Daittons provides a platform that helps connect visitors with independent Verified Destination Hosts in specific destinations.
Hosts on Daittons are independent Daittons Partners, not employees of Daittons. Daittons’ role includes building the platform, reviewing host applications, carrying out relevant onboarding and verification steps, and helping create a more structured environment for destination support opportunities.
Important note
Verification and onboarding requirements may change from time to time as Daittons develops its platform standards, service categories and host approval requirements.
