HOST RULES, CODE OF CONDUCT & PLATFORM STANDARDS
Host standards matter on Daittons
Daittons Destination Support is built around trust, professionalism and practical support. Hosts listed on the platform are expected to provide destination support in a way that protects visitors, upholds platform standards and supports the reputation of Daittons.
These Host Rules, Code of Conduct and Platform Standards form part of the expectations that apply to all Verified Destination Hosts using the platform.
1. Independent partner status
Verified Destination Hosts on Daittons operate as independent Daittons Partners and not as employees of Daittons merely by being listed on the platform.
Daittons provides a platform that gives approved hosts an opportunity to market services, receive destination support opportunities and earn money from destination-related work in their city. Each host remains independently responsible for the services they offer, the arrangements they make with clients, their conduct, legal compliance and the quality of the support they provide.
Unless Daittons expressly confirms otherwise in writing for a specific role or arrangement, no host is authorised to present themselves as an employee, spokesperson, legal representative or binding agent of Daittons.
2. Honest and accurate representation
Hosts must represent themselves honestly on the platform and in all communication with visitors and Daittons.
This includes being truthful about:
- identity and personal details submitted to Daittons
- services offered
- destinations and areas served
- experience, availability and role suitability
- transport arrangements, qualifications or capabilities where relevant
- any limitations affecting the support they can realistically provide
Hosts must not create misleading profiles, false claims or deceptive impressions designed to win trust or secure work unfairly.
3. Professional conduct
Hosts must communicate professionally, respectfully and responsibly with visitors, clients and Daittons at all times.
Hosts are expected to:
- respond to enquiries and requests respectfully
- communicate clearly about support scope, availability and arrangements
- avoid abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour
- avoid conduct that damages trust in the platform
- behave in a manner consistent with a professional destination support role
4. Only offer services you are genuinely able and suitable to provide
Hosts must only offer support services they are genuinely able, suitable and reasonably equipped to provide.
A host should not accept or present themselves for work that falls outside their practical ability, legal ability, role suitability or safety comfort level.
For example, a host should not claim to provide transport support if they cannot lawfully or practically provide it, and should not accept sensitive support roles they are not suitable for.
5. Compliance with laws and lawful conduct
Hosts must comply with all applicable laws, regulations and lawful obligations relevant to the services they provide and the destination where they operate.
Hosts must not use Daittons to engage in unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, abusive or criminal conduct.
Any host conduct involving fraud, theft, criminal behaviour, harassment, violence, exploitation, unlawful transport activity, impersonation or serious dishonesty may result in immediate suspension or removal from the platform and may be reported where appropriate.
6. Respect for visitor safety, dignity and privacy
Hosts must treat visitors and clients with respect and should act in a way that promotes safety, dignity, confidentiality and reasonable privacy.
Hosts must not exploit a visitor’s unfamiliarity with a destination, vulnerability, age, dependence or urgency.
Where hosts receive personal details, location information or travel-related information, they should treat such information responsibly and only use it for legitimate service-related purposes.
7. Clear arrangements before support is provided
Before providing support, hosts should ensure there is reasonable clarity about the arrangement. This includes, where relevant:
- what support is being provided
- when and where it will be provided
- how long it is expected to last
- what pricing or payment arrangement applies
- what transport, meeting or accommodation details matter
- any important limitations or expectations
Hosts should avoid vague or misleading arrangements that create unnecessary disputes or confusion.
8. Conduct relating to service requests
Where visitors post service requests on the platform, hosts must respond honestly and responsibly.
Hosts should only respond to requests they are genuinely able to handle and should not misrepresent availability, experience or capability in order to secure the opportunity.
Repeated poor conduct relating to service requests, including false commitments, unreliable responses, spam-style applications or repeated no-shows, may lead to reduced platform visibility, suspension or removal.
9. Conduct relating to Daittons Matching
Where Daittons identifies a host as a potential fit for a matching request, hosts are expected to cooperate honestly and professionally with the matching process.
This includes being truthful about availability, fit and willingness to provide the support requested.
Daittons may choose not to recommend a host for matching opportunities where the host appears unsuitable, unreliable, unresponsive, poorly aligned to the request or inconsistent with platform standards.
10. No misuse of Daittons branding or trust position
Hosts must not falsely present themselves as employees, corporate representatives, legal representatives or decision-makers of Daittons unless Daittons has expressly authorised that role.
Being a Verified Destination Host or Elite Host does not by itself make a host a spokesperson, legal representative or agent of Daittons.
Hosts must not misuse the Daittons name, brand, verification status or Elite badge in a misleading or unauthorised way.
11. Elite Host badge and profile positioning
Where Daittons grants a host Elite status, the host may display an Elite badge on their Daittons profile in accordance with the platform’s rules.
The Elite badge remains subject to Daittons’ control and may be withdrawn, changed or removed where Daittons considers it necessary based on host conduct, platform standards, verification concerns, complaints or changes to the platform’s criteria.
Hosts must not imply that the Elite badge guarantees outcomes, makes them employees of Daittons or gives them authority to speak on behalf of Daittons.
12. Daittons may review, suspend or remove hosts
Daittons reserves the right to review host conduct, request clarification, pause host visibility, suspend accounts or remove hosts from the platform where necessary to protect visitors, uphold standards or manage legal and trust risks.
This may happen where there are concerns about safety, dishonesty, repeated complaints, poor conduct, criminal allegations, serious unreliability, platform misuse or any other issue Daittons considers material to the integrity of the platform.
13. Verification is a privilege, not a permanent entitlement
Verification and approval on Daittons are granted at Daittons’ discretion. Continued listing on the platform depends on the host’s conduct, honesty, responsiveness, platform fit and ongoing compliance with Daittons’ standards.
Daittons may update verification requirements, host expectations, Elite Host criteria and platform standards over time as the business grows.
14. Reporting issues and cooperating with Daittons
Hosts are expected to cooperate reasonably with Daittons where there are complaints, disputes, trust concerns, verification reviews or platform investigations.
Where serious incidents arise, hosts may be required to provide relevant information, communication records or clarification to help Daittons assess the matter.
Final statement
Daittons wants to build a trusted destination support network that visitors, families, students and professionals can rely on with confidence. That requires hosts who are honest, practical, respectful and professional in how they use the platform and how they support people.
By joining or continuing to use Daittons as a host, you agree to operate in a way that supports those standards.
