By using the Platform, submitting information to us, applying as a Host, making an enquiry, participating in a referral program, or otherwise interacting with Daittons, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by Daittons in relation to:

  • website visitors and platform users;
  • prospective and approved Verified Destination Hosts;
  • clients, visitors, travellers, students, professionals and relocating individuals who use Daittons;
  • partner program participants, recruiters, ambassadors and referral partners;
  • individuals whose information is submitted to us in connection with a booking, referral, onboarding or verification process;
  • representatives of businesses, institutions, accommodation providers or corporate contacts who engage with Daittons.

  • references and referee contact details
  • CVs, work history or experience information
  • qualifications, credentials, licences or permits submitted to Daittons
  • social profile links or public business profile links submitted by you
  • declarations and information relevant to suitability screening where lawful and appropriate

3.4 Service and booking-related information

  • arrival details, pickup requirements and destination details
  • accommodation support requests
  • transport, assistance, shopping, language or relocation support requirements

  • communications between you and Daittons about requested services

Daittons will not intentionally store more payment card information than is necessary where a third-party payment processor is used.

  • from public sources or public online profiles where relevant to screening, verification, fraud prevention or brand protection and where lawful;
  • automatically through website cookies, analytics tools or server logs where used;
  • from another person who submits your details in connection with a legitimate booking, referral, family support request, relocation request or business enquiry, where appropriate.

5. Why we process personal information

Daittons may process personal information for one or more of the following purposes:

5.1 To operate the Platform

  • create and manage accounts, profiles and listings
  • manage applications and onboarding
  • provide website functionality and communications

5.2 To verify, screen and onboard Hosts and Partners

  • confirm identity and contact details
  • assess suitability for Daittons host or partner roles
  • review references, credentials and submitted documents
  • protect the integrity of the Daittons platform and brand

5.3 To connect Users with Hosts and destination support services

  • process service enquiries and booking-related requests
  • match users with relevant Hosts, categories or city support options
  • coordinate service information where Daittons is involved operationally

5.4 To manage payments and records

  • record verification fees, subscriptions, approved service charges or payouts
  • maintain accounting, reporting and reconciliation records

5.5 To provide support and resolve issues

  • respond to questions, complaints, disputes and safety reports
  • investigate no-shows, misconduct, fraud or policy breaches
  • contact users, hosts or partners about service-related matters

5.6 To improve Daittons services

  • analyse demand patterns, city performance and category usage
  • improve onboarding, quality control, safety and platform operations
  • develop new features, campaigns and services

5.7 For legal, security and compliance purposes

  • protect Daittons, Hosts, Users, partners and the public
  • prevent fraud, impersonation, abuse and misuse of the Platform

Where lawful and appropriate, Daittons may use contact details to send service updates, onboarding information, promotional messages, launch notices, referral information or other communications related to Daittons. You may opt out of marketing communications where applicable.

Where necessary to facilitate a service introduction, enquiry, booking or operational arrangement, Daittons may share relevant contact and service-related information between a User and a Host.

7.2 Service providers and contractors

We may share information with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the Platform, such as hosting providers, payment providers, email providers, CRM tools, support tools, cloud storage providers or administrative contractors, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection expectations.

7.3 Referral and partner administration

Where necessary for attribution, commission administration, city operations or onboarding, we may share limited information internally or with authorised Daittons personnel or approved contractors handling partner administration.

7.4 Legal and safety disclosures

We may disclose information where required by law, court order, lawful governmental request, or where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, criminal conduct, threats to safety, serious misconduct or legal claims.

7.5 Corporate transactions

If Daittons undergoes a sale, merger, restructuring, investment transaction or business transfer, personal information may be disclosed to professional advisers or counterparties subject to appropriate protections and lawful handling.


8. Cross-border processing

Because Daittons may serve travellers and may use cloud-based tools or providers, personal information may be stored or processed in countries outside South Africa.

Daittons takes reasonable technical, administrative and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or unlawful disclosure. These measures may include access controls, password protection, restricted access to verification records, platform security practices and reasonable internal handling procedures.

However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and Daittons cannot promise absolute security.

Hosts, partners, recruiters, ambassadors and other participants who receive personal information through Daittons must use it only for legitimate Daittons-related purposes and must handle it confidentially and lawfully.

Daittons may suspend, delist or terminate any Host or Partner who misuses personal information, shares it improperly, or uses it for harassment, spam, unrelated solicitation, fraud or any unauthorised purpose.


15. Third-party links and third-party services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, payment processors, maps, social channels or external tools. Daittons is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and users should review the privacy policies of those third parties where relevant.


16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
